Here are some of Lyn & Deon’s modifications to further improve the strong and durable Hatton
Horse Float
Anti-corrosion hot dipped galvanised chassis and internal components
All external cladding has changed from .55mm to .75mm (thickness) flat galvanised sheet,
what this means is we don’t need to add corrugations for strength, this gives a sleek fresh
look
The height of our floats is now 2.2m to accommodate the taller horses which has been a
very popular improvement
The side structure of the float has been significantly strengthened by using 40RHS (steel) to a
higher point on the frame from the front to rear. Over the years Lyn has noticed that the
smaller diameter RHS was prone to cracking at the rear of the float if used on rough
potholed roads
Marine grade 316 stainless steel tie up points/pins and ramp handles again for anti-
corrosion
Gas ram & piano hinge on all opening doors = no more fighting with a door in the wind. The
piano hinge seals the door well from the environment
The Saddlery Cabinet is the same side as the person entry door. We have done this for ease
of use, all doors are on the same side has been a popular improvement with our customers
Double ramp springs on all models which makes for a very light weight ramp. It will stay like
this long term and will not break the high tensile steel spring
Higher stone guarding around the front of the float
